Here's my wee take on the Miley Cyrus song 'The Climb' for all the gout sufferers this Christmas. Really the worst time for it I'm sure you'll agree.
would very much welcome it if some talented folks would record or video a performance of this.
Merry Xmas from Scotland.
‘The Gout’ by Miley Cider
I can almost see it
That pain I am feeling
But there's a voice inside my head saying
“You'll never get it”Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Sair with nae direction
My foot is shakingBut I gotta keep drinking
Gotta keep my head held highThere's always gonna be another cider
I'm always gonna wanna drink that booze
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to loseAin't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the goutThe struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breakingI may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep drinkingAnd I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on'Cause there's always gonna be another lobster
I'm always gonna deal wi it
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to loseAin't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the gout, naw! There's always gonna be another lager
I'm always gonna wanna make it mine
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to loseAin't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the gout, yeah!Keep on drinking, keep eating
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the gout
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoaJanuary 23, 2010 at 3:39 am #7382Keith Taylor (GoutPal Admin)ParticipantIt's taken a while, but I finally got round to finding the original, as it's not something I'm familiar with.
I love “there's always gonna be another lobster” but there is no way you'll get me to record this
For anyone else unfamiliar with it, just shout crag's lyrics over this performance:
